Light is Light

School Work

I can remember the exact day and time that I wanted to go full fledged and become a professional photographer. It was 3 years into my training, on a Tuesday evening at 7ish PM on April 14th, 2009. It was our last day in class and in between beer and hors d’oeuvres, while we critiqued our body of work, I heard our professor say: “Light is Light’. And that was the moment that everything clicked and photography became clear for me. It wasn’t about the light, it was about the moment. Strobes or natural, sharp or soft; the light can be anything just as long as the artistic endeavor is met.

Commercial application.
